Wherever you are drinking or dining at the Boatman – please wait to be seated by one of our Hosts (tables that appear empty are invariably pre-booked). Early Pre-booking in any area of the Boatman is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.
THE RIVERSIDE TERRACE
The Boatman is the only proper riverside pub in Windsor where you can sit and watch uninterrupted views of the river. The extensive outside terrace area is perfect for enjoying a food and beverage with full table service both during the day and evening – but please try to book early as our popular terrace is often fully booked with priority given to guests who book early/first. NOTE: table bookings on the Terrace are not guaranteed – If the weather is too inclement (wind/rain/cold) we may have to close this area – in which case we will do our utmost to seat you either in our outside weather-proof Conservatory, or the Bar or Dining Room inside the Boatman.
THE CONSERVATORY
Our 80+ seat glass conservatory has a retractable roof and heating so riverside dining is available all year-round whatever the weather. Early booking is a must as the Conservatory is especially popular with our guests and soon gets fully booked.
Note: The Conservatory can also be hired for exclusive parties/meetings/receptions/cooperative events.
THE RESTAURANT
Our warm and welcoming restaurant can host 60 covers – or more for private parties/buffets and receptions. Children are welcome and our baby-changing and disabled toilet is in this area.
THE BAR
Our cosy Bar – where we offer the same menus as our other areas, is adjacent to the Restaurant and welcomes Children, Dogs (and Adults) – it is less formal than our Conservatory or Restaurant – and parents appear to relax more in this area safe in the knowledge that whatever their little one drops on the floor it is likely to be ‘cleaned up’ by a pooch sitting under a nearby table!
KIDS MENU AND DOG-FRIENDLY
Children are more than welcome on the terrace and in the Dining Room inside and highchairs are available for the very small ones – just ask a member of the team if you require one.
Dogs are welcome on the outside terrace (weather permitting) and inside the Bar area of the Boatman. Please let us know if you’re bringing a doggy companion so we can allocate you a table in a dog-friendly area. Unfortunately, Dogs are not allowed in the conservatory out of respect for other diners.
