The Boatman is a quintessential British pub, serving English food with a modern twist. Led by Head Chef Jetmir, the team behind the scenes in the kitchen works hard to source fresh produce that is full of flavour to create dishes that tempt the taste buds and satisfy the stomach. Almost everything is prepared from scratch and our British menu changes with the seasons to ensure we offer the best food possible

We offer classic British food with locally sourced seasonal fresh ingredients and we pride ourselves on serving food that is freshly cooked using quality produce. Our supply partners have been selected because of their provenance, sustainability and production values and we always endeavour to buy local. .

You can choose to eat from our menu in the bar, restaurant or on the terrace everyday all day from lunchtime until 10am until 10pm at night, so whatever the occasion we have the perfect table waiting for you. Our wine cellar includes an extensive list of carefully selected wines from around the world to complement the food.

The Boatman is a flexible party venue offering a relaxed space for up to 80 people or for bigger parties you can hire the whole venue.

We can provide a three-course set menu and other private event options, including light buffet lunches and bowl food in the dining area or conservatory for parties of 10 or more. Our British pub can be hired out exclusively too. Please email us for further details.

A kid’s menu is available for younger eaters (under 12) and each dish is created with as much care as those on the main menu – we don’t believe children should be served anything that’s not of the same high quality.

Child friendly and dog-friendly

Children are more than welcome in the dining area and on the terrace but we do ask that the bar area is reserved for adults only. Highchairs are available for the very small ones – just ask a member of the team if you require one.

We are also proud to call ourselves a dog-friendly pub and welcome dogs in the bar area inside as well as on the terrace.
